Pornstar Martini, Anatomy of an Icon
Some creations become icons because they bring together a colour, a scent and an era in a single gesture. The Pornstar Martini belongs to this immediately recognisable family.
Created by Douglas Ankrah in the early 2000s, it introduced a sunny, theatrical expression to the contemporary bar, built around passion fruit and an indulgence held in check by freshness.
The birth of an icon
Between indulgence and freshness
Passion fruit takes the foreground. Its perfume is expansive, while its acidity gives the cocktail its line and prevents sweetness from becoming heavy. Vanilla brings a warm, almost tactile roundness that connects the fruit to the structure of vodka.
The entire balance lies in this tension: preserving the fruit’s brightness, allowing vanilla to emerge without isolating it, and giving vodka the role of structure rather than a dominant signature.

Dyane Paris places this icon within its own language. The Pornstar Martini lives in Dyane No.1, a porcelain bottle sculpture whose coloured drapery responds to the intensity of the cocktail.
Moving into the bottle requires preserving aromatic clarity and the balance of the recipe. At service, temperature, glassware and presentation restore the cocktail’s immediacy; porcelain gives it a presence before and after the glass.
